Over here in the midwest of the United States, with the first smell of Fall and bonfires filling the air, a whole chain of events quickly begin to take place in a blink of an eye. Talks of weekend trips to the local apple orchard,hayrides and the pumpkin patch spread like wildfire. Everyone dusts off their Fall and Winter wardrobe boxes and fashionable boots, jackets and sweaters walk the streets. And it’s like in an instant, you just got the kids ready for school and all of the stores have switched their holiday displays to pumpkins, ghosts, black cats, witches and all the types of Halloween candy you can think of.

I miss warm weather, sunshine, flip flops and shorts but I do also love when the weather starts to change and the fresh Fall air hits your face when you step outside.

It is so pretty and awe-inspiring to walk and drive around and see the leaves changing colors from lush green to bright colors of different shades of yellows, reds, and oranges. The change of seasons remind me of how beautiful and alive Mother Nature is...

This is the perfect time to shift gears from being on-the-go all of the time with summer parties and activities and view Fall as a time to prepare for hibernation or a time dedicated for yourself to develop more on a personal and spiritual level. 

It's a great time to reflect on what is important to you. What do you want to accomplish this season, this month, within the next few months before the end of the year and where 2019 awaits us.

3 things to try on for size and keep in mind for this October:

For 30 days, reflect on these 3 questions and answer them for yourself. You will be shocked at how this everyday practice will quickly influence your daily outlook on life and increase your self-esteem!

1.) What are 3 things about yourself that you are most proud of today?

Remember that you are special. We all have at least 3 things that we can be grateful for about ourselves or something that we are proud of that we do everyday. If you are having a hard time, start small such as “ I got myself to the gym today” or “I chose to eat a healthy lunch today instead of fast food!” or “ I achieved everything on my to-do list today!”

It might seem silly but doing something so simple can truly impact your life over time. You will start putting more value on your word and what you do, how you make decisions, and these will build up! By the time you check back on your progress, you will have lost 5-10 pounds or might have easily completed a big project that seemed impossible to accomplish before.

2.) How do you want to leave an impression in your community, family, workplace this month?

Everyday, decide on 1 thing you want to do to make a positive lasting impact on the world. If it’s to compliment your spouse, do a nice deed for a different co-worker everyday, or commit to start volunteering at your local soup kitchen every Wednesday and Friday, go do it! What have you got to lose? Doing these small things will not only help out so many people everyday, your help will spread indirectly, and you will be contributing to making the world a better place, and feel great at the same time! Win-win right?

3.)What steps can you take towards your goals this month? 

Thinking you want to change the world is noble and one thing, but actually making a game plan to accomplish this endeavor and having the right team to help you do so are a MUST and essential KEYS to success!
