Have you ever wondered why when you have tried to change a habit or behavior it usually
resurfaces? This is because our conscious willpower usually cannot compete with the power of the
subconscious mind.  The subconscious mind is considered to be the source or root of many of our
behaviors, emotions, attitudes and motivations. Hypnosis is believed to be a powerful tool for
accessing the subconscious mind and creating dramatic improvements and providing great
benefit in
our lives.

During your private hypnotherapy session you will remain completely aware of everything that is
going on. In fact, many people experience a hyper awareness where sounds appear enriched,
thoughts clearer and your ability to imagine and visualize is greatly enhanced. It is common for
these hypnotic experiences to create sensations of deep relaxation, fluid warmth or a pleasant
tingling sensation or buzz throughout your physical body. Many describe the hypnotic state as a
complete and total escape from all physical tension and emotional stress, while remaining
completely alert.

Hypnotherapy is a mind-body intervention aimed at easing stress. Our lives and minds are so busy,
many of us have a great deal of difficulty simply relaxing.  Even though it can be considered a kind of
meditation, it is easier for most of us to use than traditional meditation. The imagery is most
successful when the mind and body are quiet and still. Commonly,
hypnotherapy begins with a
general relaxation.  The primary intention of hypnotherapy and guided imagery is to gently and
safely guide the person to a state where their mind is calm, silent and still.

Hypnosis is a way to access the unconscious mind to help resolve problems, gain understanding on
issues, or promote insights into situations.  It promotes a sense of peace and tranquility at a
stressful or difficult time in someone's life.  It is a way of directing thoughts and suggestions to guide
your imagination toward a relaxed, focused state.  This relaxed state may facilitate healing,
learning, creativity, and performance. It may help you feel more in control of your emotions and
thought processes, which may improve your attitudes, health, and sense of well-being.  It can also be
utilized to support reaching goals (such as losing weight or quitting smoking), manage pain, and
promote healing.
Hypnotherapy   can even help you to prepare for an athletic event or for public
speaking.

Stimulating the brain through
hypnotherapy and imagery may have a direct effect on both the
endocrine and nervous systems which lead to changes in immune system function.

In many instances just 10 minutes of
hypnotherapeutic imagery can reduce blood pressure, lower
cholesterol and glucose levels in the blood and other problems related to stress, reduce anxiety and
diminish or eliminate the impact of headaches and pain and in reducing the uncomfortable adverse
effects of chemotherapy, especially nausea, depression and fatigue.
